Recipe: Creamy Green Beans

Ingredients:

8 ounces sliced fresh mushrooms

1/2 cup finely chopped onion

1/4 cup butter

1 1/2 pounds fresh cut green beans or 16 to 20 ounces frozen green beans

1 cup water

salt and pepper

1/2 cup heavy cream
Preparation:

Sauté mushrooms and onions in hot butter.

Add green beans, water, and salt and pepper.

Bring to a boil; reduce heat and cover.

Simmer until tender.

Add cream and heat through without boiling.

Taste and add more salt and pepper as needed.

Serves 4.
