Annual Meeting

April 18

Annual Meeting and Potluck April 18, 2024
at Athol Public Library

It's that time again! Time to re-member that we're a community-owned business where everyone has a chance to participate in governance and decision-making. We encourage all members to join us for the Annual Meeting on April 18 at the Athol Public Library, with a potluck meal starting at 6 pm (it's always really special) and the business meeting starting at 7.

We'll be thanking outgoing board members, electing new ones, hearing reports from the co-op leadership, and celebrating our tenth anniversary in our storefront at 12 North Main by kicking off our "Re-Membership" campaign. If you're a member, you may be getting a phone call with more details about this new way to help sustain the store into our next decade. (If you'd like to volunteer with making calls to fellow members, email Volunteer Coordinator Pat Larson.)
This year we have three candidates for six open seats on the board:

  • Mark Maynard (running for a third term)
  • Amy Sanden (running for a first term)
  • Margot Parrot (emerita board member, running for a new first term)

We also have a proposed new Bylaw relating to the ongoing transition in board leadership, intended to help us grow our governance capacity and strengthen our succession planning.

Board candidate bios and the new Bylaw wording will be available on our website by March 21. Voting will open in the store on March 21 and will continue until 5 pm on Thurs, April 18. Members may also vote at the Annual Meeting from 6-7 pm.
